Default water leak

I have a 1975 corvette that leaks water from the bottom air vents on both driver and passengers sides. This is obviously coming from the rain as it runs off the windshield into windshield wiper tray area and then runs down the “drain” at each side. How can I cure this and will it eventually rust anything. I am not able to garage the car in the summer so it is out in the weather

All I can tell you is get a tarp or find a waterproof car cover , rust is the enemy of all cars .

[sm=exactly.gif] Madvettes has a water drain for the gas tank and the rearwindow hatch how about YOU construct your own with some piping and drill a small hole near the leaks. FYI you definatley need a good outdoor cover to keep the weather off of it. MADvette has some goodones along with ecklers.

I just bought a 79 a few months ago and it was also leaking water from basically the same place. i spent 2 weeks trying to seal her up. after a tube and half of seam sealer it managed to pass the garden hose test. just waiting till i get caught in the rain to really check it. the water comes from dried out seam sealant that is applied at the factory when all the panels get put together. i would try to seal any spot that you see water leaking in that you can get to then buy a quality cover and drive it in sunny weather. good luck. and dont get discouraged from what ive heard mostly all of them leak.
