I have just replaced the stock alternator in my 1999 Vett with an Ohio high output alternator becuase I put a new stereo system in my car. The delema that I have is what to do with stock alternator. I am thinking about selling it but wondered what everone else thought about it.

 

Hey tripleblack, rule of thumb when wrenching on the vette "don't get rid of any of the stock items". When it comes to resell time most buyers will be turned off from a modified vehicle and will at least want the factory parts along with the sale. Have fun working on the ride but try to keep the mods inline with the thought of returning the car to stock if needed, good luck.

 

yes, That what was what I was thinking....it is really weird because I noticed the car running better with the new alt. 245 amp.
