Default Only 5 days old

I JUST got a brand new 2007 black C6 convertible. It was 5 days in the garage and my 5 year old son scratches the clear coat on the rear quarter panel. Now I know I'm being a little **** but it was only 5 days old !!! Anyway the swirl pattern scuff is only visable in light and I'm pretty sure it will come out, but before I do anything I wanted to see what you car buffs would recommend for getting this type of mark off my new ride.

First of all sorry to hear about that, and i would feel the same way. Can't very well blame the 5 year old though, .

Anyway, what i would do is start with a good polish, see if that works, followed by a wax. You can use a compound but use a very light compound and work your way up, only after you have tried the polish. In otherwords start with what you know WILL NOT harm the paint, and go from there. It will come out, as long as they are not Gouge scratches, and only a scuff.
Good Luck

I'm with GORICHB. Start with the easy stuff first.
Next step is to order the car cover. I know it won't help this time, but hopefully prevent another toddler stripe.
I have a 4 and 7 year old (plus a cat). Just got my car cover delivered today from autoaccessory4u.com.
Good luck.

Get some 3M perfectit-III and apply it with a soft cloth in the manner stated on the bottle. it works great. any chain auto parts store or body shop supply house should have it. Auto zone caries it here. good luck
