ORIGINAL: Corvette Queen

Hi again;

I met a real nice vette owner last night while out to dinner. He told me that he over inflates the tires by 5 pounds when storing his car. Also, the guy at the dealership says to put carpet under the tires to prevent flat spots. (The cold concrete creates the flat spots) Any true to this stuff?
Just thought I would ask the pros!

Sherry and her Vette in Colorado

(Boy, I'm thinking I should name this vette girl....Hmmmmm, that will keep me thinking all day.

I would love to know if you all have vanity plates on your cars. I have had vanity plates on all my cars, so this vette will have them too (driving on temp plates) Hubby and I are not seeing eye to eye on the plate name.....Hmmmm imagine that.
Man, there's so many ol' "wives tales" out there on this topic.... carpet under your tires is gonna do nothing in regards to keeping yer tires round. C3 Starship is bang on the money here, my friend... jackstands are your cars best friend for storage.

I was using the term "Blocks" as a generic term. Yes, jack stands is the way to go.

How about crutches, for when Jack broke his leg, hence, Jack stands.
Or...Jack stands for the first time since breakin' his leg.
(I'm sorry, those are really lame[])
I'll go to my room now![&o]
