Okay guys, we have a 1965 Chevy k10 project truck that we’re working on. It came with a 327 and we were told it was from a 1962 corvette, we have pulled the engine now and it seems like that’s not true. We would like some help trying to identify this engine, and also find out if it’s worth anything. The code on the block says “3782870.” The heads read “3782461.” The heads also have an X marking on them, so 461 X heads? The block says it was cast in December of 1964, the heads say March of 1963. The suffix code that is on the front passenger side of the block has been machined off we think, so we can only see half of the letters, we think it could be HU, HO, HJ, or maybe HQ. We think the code on the passenger side front is F1218 and then the suffix code. Any help is appreciated.
