Changing Interior Color
I have a 1965 coupe (L76) that I bought about 20 years ago. According to the trim tag it was originally white with a black and white interior. When I got it, it had been painted black, twice, poorly, and the interior had been changed to all black. A couple years ago I had it complete stripped, primed and painted a Sikkens black.
I would like to change the interior color to red. It needs new seat covers, door panels and carpet, so I'm probably more than halfway there already. I'm just not sure of what interior parts need to be red. Obviously the dash cover and maybe the headliner, but after looking a lot of pictures of black mid-year coupes with red interiors I can't really determine what needs to be changed.
Has anyone done this, or does anyone know of a chart or list of particular items? Any help would be appreciated.
Also, where on the site can I enter my VIN to find the production date?
Thanks!
Janbery
