Default VerIfying numbers on C1'59

Hello All,
This is how I did the numbers matching exercise for my C1'1959 before I had purchased it a few months ago. Here is what I did:

1. As this is a 283 245 hp dual carburetor engine according to the last 2 letters on the pad (CT), it falls under category of typical 58'59 engines according to the spec book. I am also attaching the spec book here,
2. The bock casting # check revealed a 1958 production, which is pretty much in line with above,
3. Now the corvette calculator said the approx. production date was Nov 6’58 as I entered the VIN, while the pad indicated September 23 (923). If this is a 1 month and a change range in the dates, I thought it might be considered accurate...

Any comments or suggestions are welcome!

Welcome to the forum. The NCRS would be another good source of info.
