1969 ZL1 located???????????

Does it have a blank plate covering the hole where the radio would normally be? Does is have a heater? Heater controls? L-88s & ZL-1s had no radio or heater. If you can get under the rear, get a mechanic's mirror and see if the tank sticker is still there.

If you can get the Vin # and take a look at the emissions sticker, (on the engine side of the firewall near the master cylinder) that might tell you what motor the car came with. PG.

Actually, the 1969L88 and the ZL1 did have a heater. The domed pistons were reworked for 1969 for use with the open chambered heads, and produced a compression ratio of 12.1:1.

My source says that the '69 ZL-1 used a higher dome piston and had a CR of 12.5:1 w/ the open chambered heads. Can't find anything re: heater on the '69s.

Another thing that the L-88s and ZL-1s had was the J56 dual pin calipers.
