Default 1971 lt-1

Anyone have an idea what a complete 1971 LT-1 engine is worth? Everything correct just missing the carb. Will need a rebuild as it hasnt been started in 10 years.

Welcome to the forums. Lots of factors that determine worth, heavy machine work can raise the cost which you can't know untill its torn down. But it could be worth 3K to 10K. Not sure on the possibly of finding a matching carburator.

There was one for sale in Western Washington last summer for 2200.00. It had everything, including the correct carb. It did need a rebuild as it was displayed disassembled.
If the one you're looking at did not have issues when pulled then fire it and let it run for an hour or so before making the call that it needs a rebuild.
I don't know if it sold, I was trying to get my cousin to buy it for his '69.
Good luck on getting it, they're not as easy to find anymore.

Welcome to the forum. It's worth more if it's out of your car and all you need is to get a correct carburetor for it.
