Hello,

So I got my 73' Stingray as of 6 days ago and have started to work on it here and there. I tried to repair the driver side door lock but didn't have any luck. My problem is that I can lock the driver side door, but I can't unlock it with the key. The previous owner said that there is a spring connection that is missing or some rod? On the inside though I can fully lock and unlock the door with the manual switch. On the passenger side it is pretty much the same story except I can't open the door from the outside at all, even if it is unlocked. I've gotta reach over from the driver side and open it up. I'm new to corvette's so I really do not have any knowledge on this car. Also should I invest in a shop manual?

You'll need to remove the door panels to see what's wrong w/ the various linkages. Small hands are a plus in this endeavor.

A Factory Service Manual would help.
