Default 1974 need info

A family member of mine has attained a rare corvette that we really know nothing about except its very diffrent from any c3 corvette i have or they have every seen and it doesnt have a vin # it has a tax stap on the tunnel and it hasno badge on the side where the stingray badge should be. It has a very cool paint job fades from a blue gray to a black and has a one peice front ebd that lifts up. the head lights are under it very pointed nose and the whole rear piece of fiber glass is one piece with the loovered window made in to it we are not really what you call any kind of corvette expert. absoutly the strangest but best looking corvette i have ever seen and the only one i have ever seen so if you know any thing about this let me know thanks alot

This is a wild guess, but the first pics I saw of a C3, were of what they called the "Shark". Now I don't know if this car ever made it into production, but you may have a concept car on your hands.
What you have described sure sounds like the original "Shark" to me.
Ya got any pics?

yes we are .. it has the interior torn out b/c we are gonna restore it and all i am going up next weekend to help out with it i will be sure to snap some more pics the only good pic i have is of it a few years ago when we were driving it around and it is a blown up picture but i will be sure to get some good pics of it .. i showed my boss at work who is a huge fanitic and he had just one dieing wish to drive it when we got it back on the road he said only if it was around the block . He told me that if it was indeed a what he called a tax stamp special meaning it was never supposed to leave it assigned dealer ship then it is only one of a few . I just found this out today so i will be sure to get some pics if it is that rare b/c we feel that a car that rare and beautiful just isnt for us to enjoy but for every body who has every loved a corvette to enjoy so thanks alot and we will be sure to post some new pics over the next few months as we bring her back to life.

If by chance it is a one off concept/prototype that escaped the crusher, then before you do any restoration, you should do some serious research on it. You may have a diamond in the rough that if restored to original, whatever that is, will be worth a lot more than if you just put current stuff in it. Just a thought. Good luck.
