1976 Corvette Neutral Safety/Backup Switch Question
The Neutral Safety/Backup Switch went bad in my 1976 (automatic)corvette. I ordered a new one from an online dealer and it looks different from the one i removed from the car. the new one has 2 pair of wires where as the old one has 3 pair. We installed the new one and it works fine but i am a little worried as to what the other pair of wires went to on the old one.Does that other 3rd pair hook up to the Alarm switch on the driver side fender by chance? or does it have someother purpose.
Thanks

RE: 1976 Corvette Neutral Safety/Backup Switch Question
I have a Corvette factor electrical manual and it shows that 72 and 73 had the 3 wire harness which was for the seat belt warning buzzer but it did have option for the ani-theft switch which pluged in under hood by the under hood light switch located @ passanger top corner by the blower housing, should be purple wire. Hope this helps.
