Is this a 4 bolt main block ?

is that it's a 2 bolt main. Not positive though. Why do you need to know? What are you looking to do to it?

Buying the engine and trany from my '80 l-82. Was looking to build this for the nova project.

I guess, depending on what you're doing for a build, the bearing caps won't matter. Are you looking to really up the HP? I know many people who run hot rods with up to 300HP with no problem with 2 bolt mains (mostly old men though )

But hey, once you've got the motor out and the oil pan off, I've got a sure fire way to distinguish a 2 bolt from a 4 bolt.
