i have a 1981 vette. i recently put a new cd player in it. turned the radio on, everything was cool. went to start it and nothing. just cranks and cranks and cranks. so i pulled a spark plug and grounded it and it was barely hitting, maybe a light orange spark, not enough to fire. so i put an accel distibutor in it and still the same. also the gauge lights do not work now. everything was fine before i installed the radio. if i cannot figure it out i am just going to bypass the ignition and put an msd set-up on it. any help would be appreciated.

 

I would disconnect the radio and then see if it starts. If it does start, find another way to tie-in the radio.
