Default 300 hp with stock '81 heads?

haven't had a chance to pull the valve covers off my Vette yet (its an '81) but from what I can gather, its like low compression heads 76cc heads and 160cc intake runners. I have a couple cams I want to put in the thing, but the rub is that this engine's got 70k and runs perfect and I would hate to crack open the heads on it if I don't have to.

Heres the problem:
I want to make between 300-350 HP, which I have done before, but it was always with Edelbrock heads or an old set of 291 castings, I have a Comp Cams 224*230* .477 .480" 110* lobe sep. cam that should do the trick, but I don't know if the stock heads will be a limiting factor. The stock intake might also be funky, but I have a Torker 2 that I can run, open plenum (because I don't really want to buy another hood).

This I do know:
Put a 222*222* .477 lift cam in my friends '84 Vette, and he had this funky adapter that let him run the Crossfire on top of an open plenum Weiand intake, with nice exhaust and we got the car to run 13.6 in the quater (up from 16.5!!) and that should translate into just about 300 hp at the wheels. His car should have the same heads as mine.

Do you think 300 hp is possible with the stock heads on the '81??

Thanks!

Nevermind, I have found the answer that I need. Looks like my engine budget just got a $1000 bigger...
