im new here to the site, i have a few questions, if ya dont mind answering them, i put a 400 block in my 81 vet with edelbrock rpm top end kit, all forged botttom end, eagle 4340 6" h-beam rods lwith mahle pistons 16cc dished, fel-pro.039 head gasket holley 770 street avenger, also have 373 gears and tsi trans shift kit, the cam is @.5 488/510 lift, have 1.5 roller rocker, dur. at .6 is 308/318. hope i have all this correct. what do yu think fo this and what hp/tq should i expect?

Hi and weclome to the site.
First of all are you sure the duration for the cam is right, the numbers seem high. The cam specs are usually listed as actual and avertised,the actual is what you go by.
My cam has a lift of 502/510 and an actual duration of 224/230, the avertised was up around your numbers.
My best guess is your running somewhere around 400-420hp and 400tq
I based this on you having headers and low restriction exhaust.
If you don't have the headers ect then drop the HP down to 375.
These numbers are my best guess based on engines I have had since the sixtes and are flywheel numbers not the rear wheels.

cam #s 234-244@.5 with 112 lsa, have 1 5/8 full length headers 2 1/2 x-haust. the intake is rpm air-gap, thanks for the reply, and the welcome to the site. the cam #s are from the card, i just looked at it. yea, it dosnt fit under the hood, when it warms up, abou25 or 30 degress will put the l-88 hood on. still have some sanding and paint on that tho.
