Was it frostbite of the brain?You are a brave lad to start on that project unless youhave a COMPLETE shop at your disposal. Your first $K will be complete brakes and the $K's just keep coming. When done, even just to driver stage, you will have $20K in it and that is more than it will be worth, unless it's out there somewhere in the future, say 2025. But I'm behind you all the way! After looking at you pictures my advice to you is really think about it. As PG mentioned earlier it will cost you a bundle. You would be better off looking for one that is for sale and in good shape.

It is nice to see a car in as bad or worse shape than mine. You know what ,I don't care what the negative comments are because it is mine and I get to build it the way I want. And as ratty as it looks I love that car and I can see what it is going to look like when it is done. All I can say is if you get it or any other one just really enjoy the car and have fun !!! Well... I'm on frostbite's side. The folks here have already seen the condition of my Bricklin, and that is after 3+ years of work! I bought it disassembled with the body duct-taped in place over the frame so that it could be shipped as a "car". The major reason I bought the vette was to have something to drive while I played with it, while the Bricklin sloooooowly becomes a car again.

Hi wralke, that's where the fun starts, you find a car that you like and you restore it like new, at a certain point in life you just say 'THAT'S MY NEXT CAR " and you buy it and have the fun and satisfaction of knowing you spent your time doing something that you enjoyed doing. You have to listen to your heart and make your decision based on that. Yes it will cost alot of money to bring her back to life, but if it is a project that you are willing to undertake and commit to finishing it then I say DO IT!! I spent a BUNDLE restoring my 72 and would do it all over again because that was my dream car when I bought it in 75 and still is today. There is no better reward then the feeling you get when you are cruising down the road in your BRAND NEW old corvette. If you go for it everyone here will be behind you and ready to offer assisstance. Take your time, do it right and enjoy every step of the way. GOOD LUCK!!
