Default 73 coup

HELP! Just bought my 1st vette...73 coup (not a midlife crisis). I had the ignition key replaced since we were able to start it without the key. However, After 3 months the car won't start. I get power when I turn the key but that's it. I'm not sure if it's the Ignition switch or something else. Speaking of the Ignition switch, Can anyone tell me where it maybe located and is it a pain to replace?

Default RE: 73 coup

Need more info. So when you turn the ignition to the first position, it behaves as it should? Then when you turn it to the "start" position nothing happens? When you turn it to "start" does the radio/lights/etc turn off or dim? Can you hear any clicking?

I would turn it to the "on" position and then try to short across the starter solenoid to see if you're getting power there. I've never heard of the electricals in the actual switch in the steering column going bad, so I'd have to assume that it's either a starter or a solenoid problem. The fact that you just replaced the ignition may be just making you THINK that that's the problem.
