Default 73 wheels

hi i boughta 73 with 76 ( aluminum) wheels. i know they are not original ( only 4 cars had them ). if i go to a car show and have it judged will they say these are the wrong wheels and i will lose points even though the were on some carsin 73 ??? please help me out before i spend big bucks on new wheels, rings,&center caps thanks !!!

Welcome to the forum. It depends on the type of car show you are going to with NCRS or Bloomington being at the high end of the neurotic scale and your local wash & shine being at the other end. If you are doing it for fun and enjoyment, I'd keep the alloys. You can always get the factory Rally wheels, trim rings, & caps if you later decide to really get into showing at higher levels that check bolt heads and the air in your tires for traces of St. Louis. And like you said, a few escaped with the Kelsey Hayes wheels before GM decided they didn't meet specs. Good luck and have fun. That's what it's all about IMO.
