Default Instrument Gauges

My 77 had the engine rebuilt, and the prior owner never got around to hooking the gauges back up. Are there hidden screws for the center cluster? I removed the screws from the face plate(two side two top) are there more. The cluster just doesnt want to come out. I need to know what the harness behind the panel looks like and if it is even there. The prior owner mounted an oil pressure gauge in the engine compartment, and a temp gauge under the steering collum. I also will now need to find if the origional wires are even on the car. The car runs like a raped date, but I would like the origional gauges to work.

On the early sharks, there were two studs that protruded from the bottom of the bezel to tie it into the console. Take off the console side panels to access them. They aren't easy to get to and even harder to put back. I'm assuming that your console is similar to mine. I had to use a 1/4" drive flex shaft with a socket with the nut taped in to get it back on.

Just curious as to where A/C compressor is or is it history?

Yes, I am running 2/60 air, the hardware is still on the passenger side of the engine compartment, but no compressor or anything else, only the fan remains. Some day I may put back in, but for right now gauges are priority. Even if I pull the cluster, I need to locate the wiring in the engine compartment. I need detailed wiring info. and that may not even help if the wiring is not even there. [>:]
