Hi everyone. I recently got a 74 and am really excited about it! The car was in good shape and I haven't had to do much with.




But now it starts up fine, but stalls out after a few seconds. Yesterday I could give it some gas and it would get running, but would stall once I let off the gas. Today if I gave it some gas it would still stall. I could get it to stay running if I held the choke almost completely closed. I think this means that it is not getting enough fuel, but I don't know what the cause is. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am not very experienced with cars, but I am eager to learn. First be sure there's gas in the tank. Check the fuel pump pressure. Check fuel filter in the carb. Probably best to overhaul the carb if none of those bear fruit. If you plan to do your own work, best to get a factory service manual.
