After starting the car stalls between 3-4 min. Replaced the fuel pump relay, same result.

 

Service manual suggest the fuel pump not the relay might be the problem you can get the pump without the sending unit its a whole lot cheaper and there is a nice write up about how to go about replacing it Not to diff. Just make sure you replace the sock at the same time its probably clogged and it may also be adding to the prob

 

Thanks! Figured I would replace the fuel filter too! Would the car start and run for 3-5minutes if it was the pump?

 

check the exhaust and cats. had the same problem on my 90, it would run for a short time then the exhaust would cut it off.

 

check the exhaust - had the same problem on my 90 - the car ran fine till the exhaust heated and cloged let it cool and it would run for a short time again - i also started with the pump and filters
