76 Vette with Holley 700DP... leaks

Yes, it's definitely from the bowl gaskets. I've "fixed" it a couple of times and it runs fine that day, and then the next day it leaks again.

???

hard problem to diagnose without being there, you need to find someone local that is familier with holley's

Well, it's working now... at least it has for the last couple of days. So if it holds up, it gives me time to decide if I want to try to find an old Q-jet (and manifold) to rebuild instead of just using a new Holley 600. I know a guy who has experience rebuilding Q-jets and would love to give me a hand, but he lives 4 hours away.

Then again, I found a new Holley 600 online for 210+shipping... but it's electric choke. Does anyone actually run with choke? I can just pull it off, right.....

Ya, you can pull it off. You may have to pump the throttle a couple of times to get 'er to start, and then stay with 'er, feathering the throttle,while she warms up to operating temp.
