Default 82 conversions

I’m thinking of a crossfire to carb conversion on my 82 c3
does anyone know of a “kit” I could get to do this rather then me guessing CARB AND MANIFOLD DISTRIBUTOR LINKAGE combination
thanks for any help

I have never seen or heard of a kit to replace the crossfire with a carb. However it's incredibly simple depending on what you want to do. If you're going for just stock driveability any '70s 350 manifold and carb will bolt on. As for linkage, go to any of the Corvette supply stores and look at stuff for a '79.
while you are at it you may need to swap the distributor to a '79 or earlier as well.
I don't have a crossfire, and I am not sure when they started with fuel injection. But I know a '79 isn't.
Good luck, keep us posted. Ask any more questions you have.

Keep in mind installing a manifold and carb on a C-3 you could run into hood clearance issues. Fuel pump pressures would need to be reduced, fuel pump swap or inline regulator. I always liked the crossfire except the stock intake manifold was lame, there was a company building improved crossfire manifolds that added 20 or 30 hp, not sure they still do. With a good performance chip in the ECM and slightly larger fuel injectors it will run. Something to think about.

Probably the cleanest way to do it might be to take it back to a pre-computer '74 or earlier.

I see a growing trend to go to the Holley Sniper type injection for the fact it's self tuning and has no choke with its self contained computer, it is a little pricey. But very simple, using an after market intake manifold. Not sure what transmission you have, if it's the 700R you may need to rewire the lock up converter or not that's up to you. More fuel pressure and brackets and throttle cable, would be fairly easy. Lots of choices.
