Default 82 vette slow acceleration w/TBI

I needhelp again. Upon acceleration from an idle (0 to 40) the motor falls on its face until I pump the accelerator and get the engine up to a rpm above idle. I recently rebuilt the throttle bodies (which made a huge improvement). When I was going through the front TBI, I didpayparticular attention to the fuel pressure regulator or compensation assembly. As I am sure you are aware, this assembly has a screw adjustment. My concern is that I accidentally repositioned this screw and don't know if it might have anything to do with my accelerationhesistation? If this screw hasa critical adjustment, what is the proper procedure for adjusting? I don't know if this is part of my problem or not. If you have other suggestions to check, please let me know. As usual, I appreciate the help on my new project car.

[sm=welcomesign.gif] to the forum. Not all that familiar with the TBIs but might want to check fuel pressure if the screw has anything to do with a pressure regulator. Just a thought.

I know its been awhile since you posted this thread and this might seem like a silly question but did you change the fuel pump in the tank. The 82 fuel pump only puts out about 9-psi witch is new and after years that can be singnifcally reduced. It is really best that even if running the orginal crossfire to change the pump to 85 vette pump witch is around 25 psi it dosnt matter that cross fire needs only around 9 psi since any extra is just returned to the tank.
