Default Broken Frame

I have a 1980 Corvette with a broken frame. It is broken where the power steering ram attaches to the frame bracket. I am attaching a picture of the frame. Has anyone here had a problem like this and how did you fix it.

Also, is it possible to remove the front half of the body without taking the whole thing off.

Thanks for any help, Larry

Welcome to the forum. Any idea what caused this?

The body comes off in one piece. I'd take it to a shop that can do frame work and see if they can patch it and then check the frame for straightness and alignment.

I have the exact same issue on 1975 Stingray. Peeled off the bottom of frame just as pictured. Did you patch over, or remove section and replace? Or maybe switch to different (modern?) steering system that doesn’t use ram?

You posted in a thread that's 8 years old. I doubt that Dusty dog is around anymore. Try starting a new thread with your information and you will probably get some views.
