Hello, would anyone happen to know what the diameter of the exhaust port holes are for the automatic transmission crossmember? Want to see if I can run 5" diameter (round) mufflers through there. Trying to eliminate the tailpipes from my '73.

 

I expect that they are the same as the 4 spd which are about 3.5".

Why there and not in the stock location? Just curious.
