Default C3 newbie questions ***NOW WITH PICS***

I just set my foot on planet C3 this week with a matching #'s '71 convertible.
The car needs to be gone thru fromA to Z to put it back on the road.
I was wondering if you guys have any recommendations for me regarding literature / manuals that I need to buy.
Are there parts dealers / websites out there that you can recommend?
Thanks
Toby

Ps: I'll post some pictures soon.

Welcome to CF, Toby!
I got manuals from www.ecklers.com , they have manuals for your specific year of Vette.

A factory assembly manual (year specific) is always nice to have around. usually 15-20 bucks.
You can get them off ebay or usually at any descent swap meet.

Thanks guys.
What about good (quality& service) parts sources.
I found several on the net but I rather rely on recommendations.

Is there an parts interchange manual/guide available?
Thanks so far!
Toby

Welcome to the forum. About the only thing I know of that an interchange manual would be good for is the engine. The rest is pretty much model specific.

Can get factory service manuals here: http://www.helminc.com/helm/search_s...XFB4GS4W2JB5T1

All those manuals mentioned, plus wiring diagrams, are avilable from Ecklers. They also have a lot of parts for any Vette.
I got my suspension, trailing arms, and differential from them.

Hey Toby, Just did a total interior resto on my 71 coup. Most of my parts came from Willcox corvette. I think they are located somewhere in southern Indiana. Their prices are good the parts are top quality and the service was good.
Good Luck
