Clicking noise from under passenger side floor
Had the car out to get inspected today...........everything passed except a side bulb that I missed. No biggie there. But as we were coming home a clicking sound from under the passenger side up under the dash were your feet sit started. The sound was like click,click,click.............click,click,click... ........It didnt do it the whole trip. Only after about an hour and a half of the car running did it starte then after about 15 mins it stopped. Any ideas on that one?

A little more info........while sitting in the passenger side, with your foot up towards the firewall but over to the side of the car you can feel the slight tapping when the clicking noise occurs. You can't feel it anywhere else on the floor.

So, does that happen while car is stopped but still running, or do you have to be moving?

No, schoon missed this one,..
If you open your hood and look, the only things in that corner are the heater/ac unit
and it mounts to the firewall.
There isn't anything under the floor in that area.
You may have picked up a piece of debris that hung on for a while.
Use a flash light and closely inspect under the hood for any thing that doesn't belong.
Check the area in question for anything loose or hanging. (although there ain't much there).
Is a hose rubbing?

Only one other thing I can think of,...
the spring on the heat riser is shot and the butterfly valve is begining to flap.
( That's the valve in the exhaust manifold to aid in warming engine after starting. )
The thing that throws me is the tapping on the floorboard.
