Thanks guys. I have checked out under the hood to see if I could see anything but I know I need to take a better look. I was thinking that there wasn't much down there but as schoon said sometimes sound can fool u. I'm gonna give it a good look over then take it for a drive and see if the noise is still there. If so I will try out your idea. Thanks again for the input.

 

You really need to get the car up in the air so you can look at the underside.
I was just thinkin',...here goes,....LOL
There just might be a body to frame mount located in the area of question.

As I said before, it's "feeling a tapping" that's got me puzzled.
That designates a location, as opposed to "hearing" a tapping
comming from somewhere/thing.

 

Maybe something got sucked into the blower squirrel cage. See if noise varies w/ fan speed.
