Default Failed Smog Test!!!

The tech installed the pressure test on the gas tank. It has been determined that my evap system has failed the smog test. I think it is a vacuum problem since my left headlamp does not open and close properly, as does the right. Or maybe it's the evap canister itself. Anybody out there with any experience with this problem?

A c3's vacuum hoses could be rotten, give them a close inspection. A couple teaspoons of dishwashing soap in a half-pint of water in a spray bottle and then pressurize your smog system, should be able to spot the leak. Vacuum hoses will sometimes deteriorate from the inside, they look good but are all swelled up inside, restricting the flow you need for your headlights. To pressurize the headlight system you'll have to pull the hose at the manifold and plug it or pressurize from there. Be careful with the pressure.a couple of psi too much and you could break something. How much did the smog checker use? Good Luck!
