Default Fuse panel question

Rather than delete this post I am going to give you a little laugh.
I brought the car into the garage for the first time since I got it and checked all my interior lights and everything works fine!!!!
When I was working on it yesterday I thought that covering the windshield with a tarp would make it better to see but I was wrong. But I can sure see them in the garage!!

My dash lights are not working, and I think I have narrowed it down to the fuse panel as I am not getting any power to that circuit. I have checked both ends were the fuse goes, one side I get continuity to the lights and when I turn the ignition on I don’t get any reading on the other side. I leads me to believe that it is in the panel.
My question is can the panel be opened?

After thinking about it were does this circuit get its power. Is it the headlight switch. I have replaced that switch but was thinking it may be the connector although the headlights work.

Not sure where the IP lites fuse gets its power but probably from the headlight switch. You really need the circuit diagram in the factory service manual to verify that and to be able to trace it down.

It does get power from the headlight switch and it goes to the fuse panel.
I also have the factory service manual that has the wiring diagrams in it. But it has to be the worst manual I’ve got.

Default Unplugged wire

Hello, recently purchased a 1979 C3 corvette. Upon inspection of fuse box, I found a blue/light blue wire just hanging loose. Any idea where this goes?

Stray connection.

Welcome to the forum. If no one chimes in here then you should probably look into getting a factory service manual that has a complete wiring diagram with wire colors.

Also next time you should probably start a new thread rather than hijacking an existing thread as you will probably get more views that way.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will give that a try. Sorry about hijacking the thread. Very first time using a forum. Will keep that in mind.

looks as if whatever that wire powered may not be there anymore. does not look like part of the original car wiring
