headlight help.
Forgive me, but I know nothing about my corvette. This is the first time I have ever owned one so there is a lot of stuff I don't know about it. I am having trouble raising and lowering my headlights. This is mainly due to the fact that I don't know how to raise and lower them. Is there a button on the steering column? is it on the center console? the second question after that one, is there a way to raise/lower manually if there is some thing wrong with the vacuum system? I plan to change all my vacuum hoses anyway, but I don't know how to lower them when I finish so I can't tell if that was the problem or not. Sorry for my newblyness.
Thanks for all the help.
Thanks for all the help.
The normal way to raise is to turn on the headlites w/ the engine running. The secondary way is to use the vacuum switch located under the steering column next to the trip odometer reset ****. Don't know what year yours is but that's the way the early Sharks were.
If neither work, it could be hoses (cheapest), the vacuum relays, or the actuators themselves. If you're planning on doing your own work, recommend that you get a Factory Service Manual from Helms. Also can get owner's manual there if you need one.

Sharks is right on get the manual and take your time.
I would replace all of the vacuum lines anyway just to be sure things keep working right.
The hoses are cheap and very easy to replace, just take your time and do one at a time.
If you have problems with your Vet this is the place to get the answers.
Good luck,
Schoon
