Help with specs on ride height
Can any one direct me to some specs that will show the ride height of a C3 and C2 stock (as designed)
from the factory. I'm haveing a heck of a time getting this info. This ride height I would like is from the flat lower portion of the side rails to the ground with stock wheels and tires.
thanks a bunch

RE: Help with specs on ride height
Welcome to the forum. I have the following from my 73 Chev Service Manual:
The J dimension is the vertical distance from ground to the frame at 30.5" back from front axle. J=7.91" for coupe and 7.90" for the roadster.
TheK dimension is the vertical distance from ground to the frame at 24.0" in front of the back axle. K=7.89" for coupe and 7.73" for the roadster.
This is listed as standard suspension. The it goes to list with GR70 tires (not sure why as these were std equip in 73) as follows:
J=8.44" & K=8.33" with no reference to body style.
Without going into detail, the height of the fender lip thru the axle is ~ 28".
I suspect the mid-years are in the same ballpark. Sometimes public libraries have copies of service manuals. Hope this helps.
