How much should it sell for????
i'm looking to sell my '76..... sad but true..... and i'm not real sure how much i should sell it for. with all the new parts and time i have put into it, i feel it should sell for at least $5,000 but then i think about what all else needs to be done to make it perfect and....well..... i guess i'm just looking for several opinions because i have a guy that has offered me $4,000 for it. so here are the details and PLEASE be Brutally honest on what you think i should sell it for.
1976 Stingray- white with tan/ black interior L-48
BODY
the body is overall in great shape. there is no broken fiberglass but it does need a new paint job. the weatherstrip needs replacing. floors are rotted out...will definately need new floor pans.
ENGINE/TRANS
the engine is great! it has an edelbrock intake and a free flow air filter. probably needs a tune up. the exhaust needs replacing(rusty). right now there is an electrical problem with getting it started.(juice to the starter is good but no juice to the distributer) brand new engine harness brand new starter. trans leaks because it's been sitting for sooooo long. new gaskets on trans and valve covers two new motor mounts.
SUSP/ STEERING
rear susp has mono spring. front susp needs repairs. brand new pwr steering control valve and hoses
HEADLIGHTS/ ELEC
headlights do not go up or down... but has new relay valves on both. probably needs new actuators and hoses
all electrical is good except from starter to distributer
INTERIOR
some new pieces(shift console, e-brake console) dash pads are fair...not good. seat covers torn. needs new carpet needs new gauge cluster. new pwr window motors, new blower motor, new battery. door panels are fair....
TIRES/RIMS
comes with original rims and it also has aftermarket sport rims on it. tires are all in good shape
XTRA
comes with LOTS of xtra interior parts
Please let me know what YOU think would be a fair price.....
Thanks in advance!!!

There is an awful lot of work to be done there and when you are done what do you have. I think it may be time to take the $4K and run. It sounds like an expensive project and when you are done you wil have a 76 with a ton of money and time invested.
I would say that $4-5k is about right for an almost-driver. Sounds like most of the repairs could be done while enjoying it.
I'm guessing that you'd get about $4k on Ebay from the sounds of it.bill.
I'd ask $5500, see what offers you get, let them talk ya down if ya need the sale.
You get it sold, they get a deal!
Better than askin' $4000 and have them try to talk you down.
It goes like this.....
You, "It is a classic, a '76 Vette!"
You...5500
them...3800
you....5000
them...4200
you...4800, and tell them, "I've just come down $700"
Hold for one more offer. If they hesitate too long , say 4600. If they want it, they will take it! They're thinkin', "I just talked down the price by $900, what a deal". They're feeling pretty good about themselves now.SOLD!
It's called dealin', you get your money and they walk away happy.
If you want more than 4600, come down in smaller numbers! They are lookin' to "Steal it", so to speak.
Get the Idea?

Wow, who ever buys it will have an up hill battle. I take the $4k and split. There is a 76 for sale $8500 it's in great cond. But it's not matching #'s. The owner spent $4000 to fix it. So, it's hard to say. Good luck.
