Default Lake pipes on a C3

Hi All,

I was recently looking to convert my patriot shielded pipes and wanted to know if anyone had any pictures of c3 vettes with lake pipes. They look like the Hookers with collectors but at a lower price. My shielded ones are mounted below the body and I was hoping that the lakes would mount higher against the rocker moulding.

Thanks again!

Are you referring to the true lake pipes that you unbolt the cover on the end and it's an open exhaust?

Since they look just like the "nest of snakes" style, I would think that they would look just like them. That is up along side the rocker panel.

First, highlight and copy the pic file to be posted.
example: http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e3...e/29a5312b.jpg

Now, click where ya want the pic in your post.
Next, click on the photo icon on the far right.
Delete the http:// from the window that comes up.
Right click and paste in the window.
Last, click OK.
If ya have any probs, let me know.

The patriots have 3 fake pipes and one real one for exhaust. If you check the description, the incoming exhaust is a 2" pipe. That's pretty tight if you plan on any kind of performance. You'll be reducing from 3" at the headers/collector to 2" at the lake pipe inlet. You might be able to find some lakes with bigger inlets, or find a real "nest of snakes" setup where the lake pipes are the collector, but... I wouldn't squeeze my exhaust quite that far.

bill.

Hooker makes these! They also have mufflers that slide in.
