Default lifting a c3 101

kind of a silly question, but what is the proper way to lift a 79 c3 w/ttops.reason im asking is cause two buddies told me these cars have to be lifted with doors and hood open. i checked the factory repair manual and its says nothing of the sort. also did a search on here but found nothing. where doing the starter and trans filter tomorrow ata toyotadealership i work atso i thought id ask just in case.

Always safer to lift a fibreglass car with the doors and hood loose. I've had mine on the lift a dozen times with the doors and hood closed though, and haven't had a problem yet. As long as the frame and body mounts are strong, and you lift from good lift points with solid contact to the frame, you won't have any problems.

bill.
