Looking for lock cable bracket
Need to find a lock cable bracket for an 1972 350 automatic transmission. I believe the part # is 4.070, drawing item #24. This bracket bolts to the bottom of the tranmission pan with 2 bolts and holds the end of the cable that goes up to the steering column. This is for a friends car and he says that he can not find one. If you have one or know where to get one please advise. If you have one and are willing to loan it out for a week I will make one using it as a sample pc. and return yours to you.Thank you. Ben

Welcome to the Corvette Forum. According to my 1976 GM parts book, the P/N is 3949085. This is probably changed and may not even be available any longer.
Might try Paragon or Contemporary Corvette (salvage).
