You may want to look into this for the front, same as came with my suspention kit. Not as pricey as the complete front and rear system that I have.

1963-82 Complete Front Monospring System

This kit makes your 1963-82 Corvette ride and handle like a 1996. How? It replaces the conventional front coil springs with a composite mono leaf spring, allowing you to realize the technological advances of the transverse design that comes stock on the 1984-96 Corvettes. You'll feel an amazing improvement in both ride comfort and handling!
The kit installs in approximately 5 hours and requires no modifications or welding. Included are pre-assembled, powder coated control arms, with smooth riding polyurethane bushings, new heavy duty ball joints, composite spring and hardware. In addition, this kit offers ride height adjustment and adjustable spring rate. With its lighter weight construction, unsprung weight is reduced, allowing the suspension to react quicker to the road. This package comes with a 5 year warranty.

$799.99 kit

Just a thought, I'm still looking for the shorter springs.
If you do cut the existing springs, It's kind of a cut and fit, then maybe cut and fit again. Once you've done that, there's no goin' back.

Thanks Dave,

Any idea what the length, diameter and spring rates are on the front springs? I appreciate all your help, btw.

No prob Jeff, I enjoy doin' research.
I don't have any dimentions on the springs, hoping to find this out in my search.
BTW, how much would you like to lower your Vette? I should have asked this sooner.

Dave, I want to have no wheel gap. Right now I have 15" american racing vectors on it but want to move up to 17" orlarger wheels. I want to get 17" rally wheels or 18" if they make them. Has anyone gone 19"? I have a set of 19" tires at home that I bought as spares for my 993 (295/30/19 & 235/35/19), if I can find some wheels to put them on the vette I will.

Would you have a source for the rally wheels? They don't seem to be cheap, maybe you know of a more reasonable seller.

If you can't find a bolt length that suits you for the rear drop, find a heavy equipment dealer and get a Grade 8 bolt that has the length you need.

On the front, another option is the Sharkbite coilover setup. You can lower it 'til your heart's content.

Starship' front monoleaf setup is available from Vette Brakes.

So for the rear, all I need are the longer bolts and nothingelse? Do I need some type of spacers or blocks?

Yep. The rear end basically hangs from the ends of the trailing arms.

Yep. If it's the length you want to get the desired drop.
