Cool Need old C3 weather stripping

Hi Guys,

I know this is a Corvette forum, but please hear me out - I'm looking for C2 weather stripping.
I'm looking for ANY old sample or entire weather stripping from a C3 rear window, such as from an 82 with the rear window that opens...

I don't know which weather stripping / seal I would need and the length, however I'm looking to build pop out windows on my 72 Blazer hard top as I restore it.
There's about a 3/4 inch lip around the edge of the window that will allow me to add a weather strip - and - instead of using fixed windows, I want to try building a pop out set using GMC G20 Van pop out window latches or those from a late 90's F-150 extended cab. I have to figure out my top hinge setup yet, and I know everything needs to be reinforced behind the fiberglass with metal brackets. The hinges from an 82 would be a little overboard but definitely would have an influence in the design.

If any of you are interested in this project of mine to see how it goes, please let me know. I'm on Instagram @FozziesWheels

Again - I'll take ANY samples you think would possibly work for this trial fit and coming up with various ideas on how to do this.
I am going to measure my windows with the gaps I have on the top and see how much space I have to work with. I am going to also check out the universal fitment options from Steel Rubber Products and see what designs could work for me as well.

Lastly, I can't be rambling on about my Blazer project without showing you guys what I got...

Thanks,
Steve Fazekas

Good morning, that's a beautiful truck. If I were you I would start looking at canopy shops, they're a good source for weather stripping and hinges and latches.

Default RE: weather stripping

I have a source for the latches I'm looking at, for those interested: late 90's F-150/250 extended cab vent latches or a GMC G20 Van window latches are in chrome, they look pretty nice.
Steele Rubber Products said they will send me samples of the weather stripping I'm interested in trying out for this application.
It's not likely they will have exactly what I need, but they have a HUGE array of different configurations, so it does require getting solid measurements to get an idea of proper fitment.
