I've tried to post a picture of my vet on my profile; it keeps saying the dimensions are too big. For all of you techno experts; how do you minimize a picture on your picture file before you try to post it? I have a very simple understanding of this stuff. I have a my pictures file and I've tried to download from there. I guess I have to do something else to the picture before I can post. Thanks.
Marty

Hey Marty,
You can download your pics to www.photobucket.com . You can then load your pics to your gallery or posts. It's a free hosting site that a lot of us use.
If ya need any further assistance, let me know, I'd be glad to help.

Hi Marty,
I am not a computer expert by far, but here is what I do to upload pictures to this forum. I am running Windows XP on my computer so what I do may not work for you. First I right click on the picture I want to post. A menu comes up and I click send, which causes another menu to come up which I click on mail recipient. A new box appears that asks do you want to make your picture smaller. Which we do. Then I email the picture to my home address. When I recieve it I then save it in my picture file. Then I hit post on the forum and upload the smaller sized picture from my picture file. It works for me. Hopefully it will for you, too

That's a new route, I have XP so I'll try that one myself.
Thanks!

Most computers come with some sort of photo editing software included in the bundle package but if not XP comes with "Microsoft photo editor". It will do everything you need to do. There are also loads of free photo programs on the net. The sound's like a lot of work. To find MS photo editor just do a search of files and folder from the start button. Cheers
