I am in desperate need of new tires on my '73. It has the stock size on it. I also have a '78 pace car. Here is my question...are the aluminum rims on the 78 the same width as the '73 rallies? I wanted to put a little bit bigger tire on the '73 to fill up the fender /tire space. I recently put an all new suspension under it at now the front sits too high. Suggestions or comments are more than welcome. The tire size i was thinking about buying was a 255/60/15.

 

The stock '73 wheel was 15X8 and I believe the OEM aluminum wheel is the same. I have 15X8.5 w/ 255-60s and have no problem.

VanSteel has a coilover front suspension that's adjustable. Or you can trim the existing coils.
