RE: re die corvette seats
Vinyl, yes. Leather, no. Most of the aftermarket Corvette suppliers handle a spray vinyl dye in all of the different colors. The leather wasn't dyed in the traditional sense. It had some type of slick finish on top of the leather.

Believe it or not, Duplicolor has a vinyl and fabric dye that matches my corvettes interior perfectly. It comes in a rattle type spray can and applies just like spray paint. I have used it with excellent results.http://www.duplicolor.com/products/vinyl.html
For under $10.00 I would definitely give it a try, it is available at most local auto parts stores.

wow guys, thanks for all the info. Those are some really great sites. Hey, when you re die them, does the new coat of die make the seats as dark as they originally were? I'm concerned that after sanding, the seats will be too light. I'm going to stick with the same color for sure. Black.

Not sure about the darkness of the dye job. I have seen two redye projects and they looked pretty good to me. The last one I saw was a guy who followed the web site's procedure that I posted. His was red and it looked awesome!!
