1971 seat belt won’t retract all the way, does anyone have any ideas

 

Take the plastic cover off and gently pull it all the way out. This is a great time to lube the retractor. Make sure the belt isn't twisted. Slowly feed it back in making sure nothing is jamming. You may have to help it past a rough or corroded spot a few times. Good luck and keep us posted.
