Default Suggestion on Shocks

Hello, I was wanting to get some feedback on shocks. My 79 L-48 sat for a long time before Irescued itand I finally have most of the bugs worked out and it running well. It has some olderyellow Monroes on it and I'm thinking that some newer shocks may smooth it out a little. I have spent so much on it recently that I am looking for something that will give a good ride and improve the handling, BUT I don't want to spend too much. I was looking at the less expensive KYBs or Monroe Sensa-tracs (looking to spend about $100 for the set). Can anyone please suggest one over the other or recomend another option? Thanks!

Hi gacole 2000, I finished a complete suspension rebuild a couple of weeks ago on my 78 L-48, installed a 315lb fiberglass rear spring and all new bushings front and rear, I went with Delco gas shocks mostly because I like to stay with GM parts if possible. I have'nt driven it much but am happy with the ride so far, I still need to get an alignment and hope to do that next week but at this point I can't complain about the time and money I put into suspension, the shocks were a little over $100 through a local parts house.

KYB, Monroe, Delco are all good choices for stock or intermediate type shocks but like Dave I choose Bilstein. never had a bad set but any reputable manufacturer will do you fine. Good luck in your quest.
