Default U-Joints

Iinstalled new U-joints onthe driveshaft and half/axle shafts on my '76. I have used the type with grease fittings. I read somewhere that care has to be taken to not use the wrong grease or overfill them. The packaging says to fill before driving. Can I use the same "high heat" grease I packed my front bearings with? That would mean I am mixing with what was already in the u-joints. How do I know when they have enough grease in them?

I am trying to get my rear suspension back on the car so I can enjoy it on the road. I have been on jack stands for too long.

Thanks-

Default RE: U-Joints

Hi stlvet, and welcome to the forum. GM says to use EP Chassis Lubricant Part Number 1050679. For me, I just use the same grease that I use on the front steering parts. PG
