Default Unknown Marking on 1969 Convertible

When the transmission was pulled out of my 69 convertible, there was a yellow marking in the top of the transmission tunnel. It looks to be stenciled in yellow pant directly on the fiberglass. It reads as follows:

MAR 1 4P.M.

Has anyone ever seen such a marking? What was left of the tank sticker has a Feb 18 date on it. That is also the date from the engine ID code. Any info will help. Thanks!!

That seems a little odd. The date on the fiberglass is put there when it is removed from mold. I guess it could be a floor that was molded in March of 68since they didn'tchange designs. Maybe it was on the bottom ofa stack and sat there for almost a year. That possibility is very remote. What are the last 6 numbers of your VIN? The sequence number will tell you when the car rooled off the assembly line.

A NCRS judging manual will probably explain it if it's a factory marking.
