Default 1984 wiring diagrams

OK, no help on the brake light switch wiring. How about a source on the internet that has the wiring diagrams for the car since my reprinted workshop manual came without them. Many thanks.

What do you need to know about the brake lights? I have service manuals. [8D]

Brake lights?

Do they either of them come on? Probably not??? Could be brake pedal switch loose/Bad?

Do not rule out both brake lightbulbs are bad. I've seen many times where one light will blow a filiment and cause a slightly larger surge to the other lamp and cause it to blow.

I have to add a high brake light to get licensed in New Zealand. I have a Hella LED with wires led to the brake light switch. The switch has two groups of wires exiting. The first ones, thicker, are blue, white, and orange. The second ones, thinner, are blue and brown. I need to connect to a positive and a ground for the Hella lights. The service manual reprint came without wiring diagrams that should have been at the end, so I'm stuck. Thank you for your help.

Well, one set is for cruise control interupt and the other is for brake lights. If you have a test light, probe wires. The cruise control interupt will be hot with brakes NOT applied and won't be hot with brakes applied. Vice versa for brake lights. [8D]

The orange wire is your brake light wire, white wire is supply to brake switch. Use the orange wire for your high mount brake lights. [8D]

Thanks for that. I've been offline while moving to Nelson, New Zealand from Picton. The C4 is now on display in an upmarket classic car
museum in Nelson as part of an exhibit of 50 "American Muscle Cars". That gives me time to get all the moving stuff done instead of
endlessly driving the c4, which I would do instead of doing what really needs to get done with the move. I'll put your kind advice to work
after the holidays during one of the museum's off hours. Thanks a whole bunch and Happy Christmas.

1984 wiring diagrams are at:
misterbill.homeip.net/vette/wiring/
using these I was able to get the high brake light up and running.
