87 Corvette overheating problems
I recently had my 87 Vett radiator flushed and ever since I have had an overheating problem. The car dosn't overheat until encounter traffic. It seems to not be able to cool when I stop for lights. Also the low coolent light comes on intermittantly.
The fan is comming om OK and the thermostat is opening andI have checked for debris in front of the radiator.
Would appreciate any suggestions

Fill the radiator! Whoever flushed the system didn't get out all the air when he refilled it after the flush. It's quite difficult to do and requires a lot of time to get out all the air. You might be able to top off the overflow bottle a couple of times and let the system draw in the coolant from there. Best just take off the radiator cap,top that off and top off the overflow bottle and run it thru a heat-cool cycle ad you should be OK.

Air is defently possible if you are positive of everything you stated. A simple trick is to stick just the front arms of a lift under the front and raise only the front end of the car up several feet while adding coolant directly into the rad. Doing it that way will cause the air to work its way to the highest point in the sys which will be your rad. If you arnt using a lift you can put it on high ramps.
