89 Rough Rider
Is there a way to tame the harshness of the ride in my '89? It's been mine since new, only has 39,000 miles, looks GREAT, but I
still can't over how badly it rides. I know, "they're supposed to be that way," but I have to believe that with all the technology that
has come our way in the last 17 years, there must be some tweaks to smooth things out a bit. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Try lowering the tire pressure. Even though the tires are rated up to say maybe 50psi, you should only fill them to what the sticker says on the door. I think its around 35 psi. Just lowering them a couple psi can make a huge difference.
My 92 rides really rough also (probably the worst riding car I have ever owned - but still a Vette!). Not much will improve the ride, at least from what I have found. I normally run 34psi year round and have BF Goodrich tires. Local Vette guru assures me that there is really no cure as the C4s have a much harsher ride than the newer years.
